I thought the River Pageant was wonderful, full marks to the Queen and Prince Philip for stamina. Though I thought Kate looked stunning in her red outfit, felt it too bold compared to HM and Camilla's outfits. Agree about the "dressing gown" effect, was disappointed that the Queen's outfit was not a stronger colour, perhaps it was reminiscent of her Coronation gown? Agree about the chap off the One Show, he bores me to tears, and seems to be on so many programmes at present..

I enjoyed watching it, but I thought there was too much studio talk and him that does the one show is o.k for half and hour but rubbish for a lengthy time, he didnt know what to say half the time.

I thought it was funny at one point, it looked like william and harry were trying to stand in front of her maj to shield her from the wind.

I think the commentary etc could have been much better, and we could have had a look at some of the static sailing ships, plus more about the Dunkirk little ships and the working boats. I love boats, so did enjoy watching - it was colourful, happy, well organised, slightly quirky and a bit mad, i.e. very British :-D

I watched both programmes and definitely preferred All the Queen's Horses. I think the weather definitely spoiled the River Pageant, and they did say that some elements of it had to be cancelled.

Although I have to say, the sight of the London Philharmonic Orchestra choir defiantly belting out Rule Britannia in the torrential rain was one of the most brilliantly eccentric and "British" things I've ever seen LOL! :-D :-D :-D

I was most impressed by the extensive knowledge of the woman in the studio interview who said that the company of milliners who made some of the hats had been resposible for making the hats for Nelson“s crew at Waterloo!!!!
I thought he fought at Trafalgar.
:-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S :-S

Me too, Chris, I recorded both progs so o.h. will put them on disc, then I can watch them again if I get sentimental.

I wondered how poor Kate kept warm, the men were all in suits and uniforms so warm trousers, the women all wore tights and shoes, and must have been perished with cold.

An historic sight to see, all those boats and the crowds not being deterred by the awful weather, such a shame it wasn't like the previous weekend and bright and warm.

Heard on the news that some people suffered hypothermia, hope the Royals are ok not good for the Duke of Edinburgh to be cold and wet after his health scare at Christmas.

Amazing That she managed to stand for so long & Philip too.

Loved the Cornish fisherman singers...Why oh why did the flipping commentators have to talk over them...?

The new baby at St Thomas's was gorgeous his parents looked very proud.
How did his mother look so good after giving birth that morning?

Took me months and don't think I ever looked that good :-S :-( :-D

I did watch it. Didn't that coat the queen was wearing look like a dressing gown?

Wasn't very impressed with the commentaries. David Dimbleby would have done it splendidly. When he does the Remembrance Day service it is very evident that he has taken time to research his subject but the commentaries today were not very informative.

That was a pity because it was a wonderful pageant.

I absolutely loved it all and thought Queen and Phillip did well to stand as long as they did. The parade of boats was a tremendous sight :-D

Pity about the rain in London and I felt soo sorry for the singers at the end...bet their hair was lovely beforehand.

Hard to believe I know but up here on the NE coast, although we had light rain earlier, the sun shone and now we have beautiful blue skies... :-D

There was something about the loo on the barge on radio in the week - she will not have to cross her legs!
