It is a possible re the loft Ann, though I think it would be noticeable on the landing more, beneath the loft cover, which it doesn't seem to be. |

Have you got a loft Rose? It is possible that the smoke could get into their loft then, if the lofts are joined as some houses used to be, the smoke will drift down through your loft entrance. |

In the past, we've used a product called neutradol, but like most airfreshners, it is chemical based. |

Marion, they do sit out the back in the evenings and I know it drifts up then but I close the windows when they are...but they weren't doing so last night and it was the worst it's been. |

Or if they are really heavy smokers its maybe wafting up stairs and through floorboards under skirtings. |

I have something similar to febreze Joy ( that's good though) must remember to take it up to the bedroom early on, so it's not as strong by the time I go to bed. |

Does anybody know a really efficient way ( natural rather than chemical if poss) to get rid of the smell in a house? I live in a terrace and I swear the smell of cigarettes is permeating from next door ( either that or we're haunted by the previous owner who smoked AND tried to burn the place down) . |
