Hope that it all goes well. A lovely chance for you both to see each other smile (and with good reason). I guess that there will be tears as well. So go prepared with plenty of tissues.

Great that you have been helped by your brothers children. this will be a special time for them too.

Thinking of you all,

Tess :-) :-) :-)

Hello Dutch long time no see. We are both plodding as usual getting older and creakier, still acquiring stray cats, foxes and badgers, they cost us a fortune.

See you all Wednesday if I havn't drowned !!!! ;-) ;-) ;-)

How lovely :-D

It is a shame the visit will be tinged with a bit of sadness because of his illness. Let's hope seeing you again will brighten his life and make him more positive to find his illness.

Good luck and have fun. Takes lots of tissues with you ;-)

Good luck Annina, hope you have a good and safe journey. I'm sure that your brother will love the patchwork quilt you have made for him, especially if it's as nice ( which I'm sure it is ) as the cushion cover
you made for Joyce.

Enjoy your time spent with him and his family. Take care of yourself.

Best Wishes.

Love, Sallie.xx

Wish you all the luck in the world. Travel is not easy when going alone so it will be a bit of an adventure with a happy ending when you arrive. Have a safe journey and hope your surprise visit gives your brother a feel good factor at this difficult time for him. Enjoy your time together with his family. -jl

Hello all,you mat or not know that after 40 years searching all over the world,I finally found my older brother in Belgium.

Well, tomorrow I am sailing on the overnight ferry to Zebrugge to surprise him on his birthday. His children have conspired with me to keep it quiet and are picking me up at the ferry terminal Saturday morning.

I made him a lovely colourful patchwork quilt for him to use at siesta time,as sadly he is currently undergoing aggresive treatment for bowel cancer, which insidently,is what spurred me on to visit at last.

Please wish me luck,I have never travelled so far all on my own and am
a tad nervous.

Will update you all next week when I return. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D
