Phew, sorry for late reply. I have just been planting up yet another Clematis in a very large pot to grow over trellis. You can never have too many of these, and I practically buy one every time I am out.LOL
Yes, I too like the Spring flowers and the Daffs and Crocus.
ISLAND, not sure about Cauliflowers in my flower tubs etc, but I have been known to plant Oranamental Cabbages in the Sun Lounge window boxes.
ANN, I love the Surfinias and Petunias in the hanging baskets aswell as Fuchsias and Geraniums.
SUE, I like your choice aswell, and have five containers of Sweet Peas all around the garden. And like you, I am not enamoured by Dahlias and Chrysanths.
At the end of the day, they all look lovely.

I have always loved flowers, even from a small child.
I particularly like spring flowers, violets, primroses, bluebells, cowslips, which we used to pick in the woods.
Also love most of the cottage garden plants, pinks , sweet peas, sweet william lupins, delphiniums, helibores, phlox. The only flowers i am not keen on are bold brash dahlias, chrysant's.!!

What a shame that plants go moudly, that hadn't occurred to me about high humidity.

I love hot weather but find Humid heat very draining. Is it like that all the time? How do you cope with it?

anything will grow where I live, but because of the high humidity some things go mouldy (eg roses)

So we stick to the tropical/subtropical plants, have lots of orchids, helaconia, ginger etc..... and Australian natives

Cauliflowers! :-D :-D

I like all of yours Julia. I love to see a wild flower meadow.
I don't like showy bedding plants.

Daffs are one of my best favourites because they are the first joyful colour of the year.

to grow in your garden.
I like all flowers, but prefer some over others. The ones I like particularly are Lupins, Aqualigas, Poppies of all kinds, Peonys,Hollyhocks and Foxgloves for height, aswell as some of lesser importance to my layout.
What are yours.
