Bless her, your Nan has done well to reach that age with all the things that have happened during her lifetime. Those photos and the info she has passed on to you will be wonderful legacies to have and I hope there will be more birthdays to share and photograph too.

Hi Gwyn, I think it's nice when we see something that reminds us of someone after they've gone, what a shame your mum didn't make it to her 100th.

What a great idea Tess. I'll make sure I do that whilst it's fresh in my mind.

My nan had 5 children, one died aged only 6 months and two died early last year so it was nice that her two remaining children were able to attend her party today.

I also have 5 generations on my paternal side but unfortunately due to a family squabble that's a photo I'll never get.

Fancy having five generations of the same family, in the sam place, at the same time!!!

The photos from today will be special for a long. long time to come.

Maybe in 102 years time, the great,great, granddaughter, will be able to say to her descendants.

"This is me as a baby in 2012, with MY great, great, grand mother!"

Won't her (and your) descendants, be pleased!


Maybe write something to go with the photos for future generations.
Where the "party" was, who attended, what you had to eat, what the weather was like etc, erc.
A precious document indeed.

Thank you both. My nan loved touching baby's feet whenever she got the chance. Another photo I managed to get today was one of the 5 generations together for the first time, now that was special.

My nan has had a lovely day and even managed to blow her candles out bless her. Even her 7 month old gt gt granddaughter had a great time. Plenty of photos taken so I've updated my avatar.
