Throughout the whole of England it is illegal to eat mince pies on the 25th of December.

Lynda, according to the link, taxi drivers have to ask each passenger whether they have small pox or the plague?

Don't ask me.....I haven't seen the inside of a pub since goodness knows when.....but here is one for the Londoners......One for yourself, that is.:-D

Londoners are not allowed to keep a pigsty in the front of their homes.

I wonder if it is ok if the Londoner moves to another part of the country......hmmm!......orft to ponder

isn't there some silly law stating
a London cabbie can widdle up the back wheel of his taxi

but only if he is carrying a bale of hay in the back

My home in London is immaculate thank you very much, the only pigs are on the farm which is at the back of the house!
It's my country home that is a pigsty, front & back :-)

All English Men over 14 are meant to carry out 2 hours of longbow practice each weekand supervised by the local clergy. This law dates from the middle ages when there was no regular British army and local gentry were ordered to train a quota of knights, archers, infantry, etc.

hmmm, seem like most of the country have broken the law.

also there an old law never repealed saying
we have to practice our archery on a sunday

i much prefer a AK47 myself
