I would say I am not a minimalist , I am just married to a man that is " careful" (even though we both work fulltime and I earn more) but I work in Town and do avoid going down there unless I really need too. I only buy what I need so more boring that minimalist :-)

Why didn't I think of that Sue...lol!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't get tempted that often I must say, since I am now retired,
I want to downsize,as the saying goes, but only with my possesions.
Hubby and I live in a large 4 bedroom house, and since its just us now the family have flown the nest,we want to just get rid.
I think I will pack things away and put them in the loft.
We love our house, and wouldnt want to move,he has his computor room,I have a room for all my craft bits and pieces.
:-D :-D :-D

I'm like you SueMaid,I too love all my bits and pieces, ornaments that the children bought when they went on school trips, but lately I feel there is too much around the house, although my home is always welcoming,I want to put things away.
I could never throw anything away, that the family have bought.
We have just decorated a bedroom, that we can have as a spare one,in case the grandchildren stay, but I am loathed to put anything else in there, other than the necessary.

My daughters friend is a minimalist,as she always says, you havent tidied up and put away then.lol!!! In a nice way though.

I'm definatelly not a minimalist :-) I don't even try. I love all my bits and pieces around me and for me it's what makes our house a home. Having said that I don't like a cluttered house either so I think I'm somewhere in between.

Do you think you are born this way,?
How does a minimalist avoid buying something that is
beautiful,eg,glassware/ornaments/clocks/paper weights,
I think I am a minimalist with amnesia.lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will have to discipline myself not to be tempted. :-(
