we had JW yesterday, as soon as i opened the door he thrust a leaflet in my face asking, what does that word me to you "armagedon" i said look i havent got time for this im ont he xbox, they looked so shocked as i shut the door, so rude!


to retreat fromt he world, i get abunch of mags, and run a very hot bubble bath, n stay in till said mags are all read, :-D

I just tell them to "Bog Off".it works for me.

i get loads of phone calls every day i get right sick
so i tell them i dont do survays
i dont need what ever they are selling
and when the computer scammers ring
i say thats good cause i dont have a computer

last week somebody from BT rang
and tried to get me to change phone companys
so i said sorry i dont have a phone
she said ops sorry
what did she think i was talking to her on
a tin of beans and a bit of string pmsl

A rather good idea is (If you have an answerphone) is to switch messages (There are usually two or three you can use) when you don,t want to be disturbed just switch to one saying you are a takeaway etc. and are busy at the moment.could be funny when you replay. :-D

my answer phone message is

you have reached the home of the worlds greatest psychic
i already know who you are and what you want
so please replace the reciever now lol

Just this morning the phone rang when I was up to my eyeballs doing something else......

One of the calls was that stupid recorded msg you sometimes get.......*don't hang up............we're from ..............*....so I hung up.

Then....an Indian man called *sam* wanted to sell me solar panels.

Merlin, sounds like a good idea. You could have one that says 'You are in a queue, but your call is important blah, blah' and then play 'Greensleaves' ad nauseum. :-D

We have phone & mail preferences so don't get bothered but my son loves the cold callers. If he's not at work he'll happily keep them talking for as long as possible, like the conservatory salesman who slammed the phone down after one hours speil when my son asked if they'd put the conservatory on stilts as he lived on the fifth floor. Religion spouters soon disappear when asked if he can join but continue hes membership of black magic circle

We have a no cold callers sign on our front door and backdoor ( which is really our side side lol) but do they take any notice ..noooo do they heck ,
if i answer the door and they are selling or preaching i just point to the sign and say can you not read, then shut the door .
