I loved the theme tune to Dr Kildare - still viewable on You tube, also a tune which I remember as particularly beautiful was the theme from Edward and Alexandra, which was screened in the 1970's, I think.

Hello

Hope you are okay.

"Hill St Blues, the theme for this long running american TV series.

I liked the tune from "Take the high Road", and the australian soap
"A country practice".

Both were broadcast in the afternoons on ITV but stopped when
Thames TV lost the franchise to run the station in 1992.

How about the themes from "Cagney and Lacey" and "Dempsey and Makepeace", classic 1980's cop shows?

Oh, one more, "Juliet Bravo". The storylines were hard hitting but not extreme.

I was very young when this came out as the theme to a tv programme 'Stranger on the Shore" (1961 !)

:-DSRS.....Champion The Wonder Horse reminds me of a Satuday morning infront of the tele with me 2 sisters....transfixed and singing the tune out load.....

One of my favourites was 'Sleepy Shores', Owen MD. So much so, that I asked my elder daughter's piano teacher if she could learn it and I used to listen to her playing/practising it whilst I was preparing her evening meal.

Also, theme tune from 'Ground Force'. Sad, eh, but I loved it. Love hearing the trumpet. So much so, that my younger daughter learned to play the trumpet and, I have to say, she did a lovely rendition of 'Oh, When the Saints Come Marching In . . . . . at a distance :-D

Also, Antiques Road Show theme tune always makes me feel cosy on a Sunday evening.
