Can anyone help me??

I appear to have a Mary Hopkin, born 1950 at Pontadarwe Wales in my tree. There is only one. Her father has a very Welsh forename (Elfyn) and her mother is Kate (nee Morgan).

Is this the Mary Hopkin? She is the only one born Q2 in 1950 - and the singer was born in May 1950. I have checked interviews and wiki and all that but I can find no record of her mum and dad's names being mentioned. Also it mentions sister(s) and I can't find any!!

Is anyone out there knowledgeable about Mary or a big fan and knows the answers. I would be really grateful!!
Gerard

Some background info (ref: Wikipedia) ......

The folk singer/songwriter Mary Hopkin was also credited on some recordings as Mary Visconti. (She married Tony Visconti in 1971,, and divorced in 1981).

She was born in Pontardawe, Wales, on 3 May 1950 into a Welsh speaking family. Her father worked as a Housing Officer.

Her son is (Delaney) Morgan Visconti and her daughter is Jessica Lee Morgan, both in the music industry.

Guess you might have to buy a birth certificate to find out.

I remember the song - but thanks all the same. I have all the details given above, what I need is something to confirm the names of her parents and her sister(s). Wikipedia is all very fine - and I know about the Visconti connection, but I need to know if my Mary Hopkin is THE Mary Hopkin.

Thanks everyone - I have solved the mystery - Mary Hopkin's father was David Howell Hopkin and I have found her sisters too, Patricia being one of them, who died a month after her father as she stated in one of her interviews that I found on the internet. Therefore sadly, Mary Hopkin is no longer on my tree!!
