Any one else received a letter from NHS - offering this? Offering it to those aged 70 and over in our area. |

I have done two, but I think for some reason ours stop when you are over 70. Goodness knows why. |

Do it Mel.....doesn't take a lot of time or effort, why put your health at risk? |

Mel - prevention is better than cure - the other option is a no-no. |

There´s no screening programme in Spain & I ended up having a colonoscopy a couple of months ago, following 2 unexplained haemorrages. |

We get the kits at over 60 in our area but I had to wait a couple of years. I would think prevention is alway than the cure or even an early warning better than no knowledge. ....better than having a trip to the hospital or the doctors.-jl |

Well I am hugely grateful for that test and am glad 'I didn't take my chances' last year when I did it, as it would not have been discovered that I had bowel cancer. |

I think everyone should take any opportunity to have any tests done,it does give you peace of mind, when the results are clear. |

My hubby was sent a test when he was sixty and again this year when he was sixty-two. He's refused to do it. I'd be afraid not to. |

Was offered one once as part of a national programme but chose not to at that time. Too many stresses then and did not want to add to them waiting for results., However not sure how practical the test is as I believe it has to be 3 consecutive samples and that can be difficult for some. Had to give up on GP test for that reason. Must eat more fruit and veg. |
