Hi Chris ,you have our full support, for a condition that is bad enough to start with ,without the bug on top of it.
My missus has been on strong anti bi's for two weeks ,and was back at our docs yesterday to be put on steroids to build her up,so we have some inkling of how you must be feeling ,fighting a condition which is much worse than we are now fighting
Liz and i are thinking of you ,and all the rest of the people of this big family which is getting bigger all the time, fighting a disease which is sooooo dibilitating it is hard to believe ,much less understand. Fred. :-)

Ann - haven't felt strong enough to get to surgery for jab! Theres a slope going up to it and me and slopes do not get on! Was told in hospital pseudomonas has a nasty habit of lying dormant and as for catching it - it is all around and being that my lungs are not the best..........................

Martyn sorry about Mum's fall. Getting old is not a bundle of laughs unless you have your health and strength!

You are always so positive Chris, I do admire that. But it must lower your spirits to keep getting it. If it is the same one is there anything more they can do to prevent it re-occuring? Other than the massive doses of anti bs. Worrying that if you have too much abtibiotics they will eventually need replacing by something else. Fingers crossed anyway that it is something different. I suppose your husband or son are not carriers of it? Have you had your flu jab? Has that lowered your immunity to the bug?

Ann - apart from a quick visit mid Sept to hairdresser (in village) have not set foot out of house. Bug I last had was told it lies dormant which is why OH so quick about sending sample. Hope it is not. It chucked me back 15 months and I am struggling to get back to that level as it is! Ah well worse things happen at sea.

Well we could have yoldhim/her that Lol!

Seriously what a nuisance for you chris, I am sorry. I do hope it is not the same bug. Is it one that you are likely to have caught from other people? Or where does it come from? Is it perhaps living in your body and reappearing if you get low?

so the locum said who visited me this morning. It is back again to antibiotics and steroids and waiting sputum result. Have to see consultant on Thursday and hope result is through and it is not the bug which put me into hospital in August or it means I am back there again.
Fifth time since end May I have had oral steroids.

Cross fingers for me please.
