Does anyone know this song or nursery rhyme?
My Nana used to sing it to me. She was born 1937, i was born 1984.Her sisters and sons say they've never heard it! She died 4 years ago.
I remember the tune and most of the words but not all and it's bugging me as i want to sing it to my son. I've looked on google and can't find anything. Maybe she made it up?
Some lines are:-
a fairy found a farthing, a farthing, a far-ar-thing, a fairy found a farthing down beside the wishing well
she took it to a spider on a dusty windowsill, (something like she found a piece of ribbon? it was made of thistledown) she stitched it and sewed it, she met a little robin (sang for her so sweetly like a little silver bell) and they danced among the daisies and they danced among the dew, and all the little ? came a dancing with her too

I've recently been looking for the words of this song to sing to my granddaughter. I've remembered them all except one in the last verse. I googled it and found 2 references to it but no actual access to it so I'm none the wiser. I see you were looking 2 years ago - did you get a copy? I can write out all words except one if you still need them.

If you did manage to get the words, perhaps you could let me know the one I'm missing - 'all the little ? came a-dancing with her too.' Thanks, Cindy.
