well iv been thinking it since yesterday n typed it n backspaced,
but i was thinking if the UK press got wind, a banned book sells more copys than a unbanned book,

so last thing they would want out there is the news of pats book being banned, soooooooo i thought it might be a long shot, but the papers are more likely to publish, a sighting, than a banned book story, if it arose,

kinda covering the book banning but a sighting etc, im rambling now but i no what i mean :-\

Nope I know exactly where you're coming from Stray.

If I hadn't already bought the book...I'd be chomping at the bit to get a copy by now !

I HATE being told what I can/should think or what I can/should read....Gagging people who don't toe the party line isn't clever in the long run....people will read for the sheer hell of it..which I'm sure is the very last thing they wanted ! x

Now this is just getting bl**dy ridiculous !!!

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2020172/Madeleine-McCann-India-Tourist-convinced-blonde-child-her.html

However the French woman and her Belgian husband, who had their passports copied by Leh Police, insist that they are the parents of the girl.
A spokesman for police in Leh said: 'It all depends upon the evidence like DNA for which help from Madeleine's parents and the British police was required.'

SIGHS...and yet....

http://www.itv.com/news/mccann-sighting-denied66269/

Speaking to ITV News Leh police chief Vivek Gupta categorically denied the sighting.

He said: "This incident is not in my knowledge and I have not sent any request to anyone for this. We have not taken any swabs for DNA

...i'm more inclined to go with the view of the police chief who has been named than I am an un named *spokesman* for the same force lol.

This is why the UK printed press cannot be trusted with it's reports about this case. It's been printing this sort of guff regularly for 4 yrs....unchallenged.
