I think people reacted to Stan's remark Daisey.

I see in the paper that he and his wife have gone public because he still enjoys singing and theyw ant people to understand if he fluffs his lines.

Sad to hear this.I've always liked Glen Campbell and have lots of his albums. He gave us some memorable songs and tunes.

Dementia and Alzheimers ..'the long goodbye'.. are ghastly diseases, and I pray a cure is found very soon.

Im not sure he is very wealthy, he seemed to fade out of the limelight for a while.

That is very sad, love his voice and his singing.

Perhaps he will donate some of his wealth intothe research of the disease

Its a cruel disease for the person who has it and distressing for their family and friends.

More money and research needs to go into it but sadly it never seems high profile in the media.

Im very sad for Glen Campbell, and his Family.

Stan, isn't it a good thing if diseases like this are brought to the public awareness as much as possible? He's a well known talent so it's bound to resonate with people and just as sad for his loved ones as for the loved ones of someone who isn't famous

Stan

Stan Report 23 Jun 2011 13:26

Didn't mean to offend anyone ,but it's only when someone famous gets it that it draws attention

A dreadful disease no matter who has it. Having spent a few months in a 6 bedded Rehab ward where at all times 3 of those beds were occupied by patients (because they had had falls and subsequent ops) in various stages of dementia, it frightened the living daylights out of me seeing it at first hand.

Don't think he would be worried about us if we had it
