"I'm talking 75p purchase and £420 sale"

That is not 400%!!!

That is, like, 500 times the purchase price.

400% is if you buy something for 10 and sell it for 50.
Not buy it for 1 and sell it for 500!

I was already going to say I would feel guilty if the person I'd bought from was obviously naive / obviously needed the money, and I'd made any kind of significant profit.

My conscience doesn't cope very well with exploiting people, but I may be alone in that.

You're all so in-curious :D Bob I am frankly bursting to know what it was lol ( not that you have to tell us of course)!

But I might feel a wee bit guilty about that amount yes, but that's just me... not that one should lol. I have made £50 on a 50p item and do buy to sell.

Still no....all or most charity shops have people that call in everyday or are available by phone for pricing items, if they are thought to be worth alot they go to an auction or their headoffice......if they have sold something for 75p so be it.
l wish it had been me thats all l can say!!!!

No, but if the same thing happened later after a charity shop purchase, I would feel that I had to make a donation to them.

No, I would have bought it in good faith, it would be mine to sell.
