	help needed does anyone know what job this is. i have a james jackson born about 1843/4 and works as caretaker fatmen bethel worker he,s born and stays in liverpool any hints?? signed wendy

	A fat collector collected fat from shops and hotels to be used in the making of soap. Sounds like he may have 3 jobs. I had the feeling that Bethel was a type of chapel, a mission hall?

	He's a soapworks laborer in 1891 so that would fit. Rose

	thanks all for repyling after i went offline soapworks laborer in 1891 i think that would be him but unsure about 1901 so thanks rose the church i,l look into so thank you Fiona aka Ruby
