Just to see whether you're keeping track of your bigwigs. ;)

1. With whom did David Cameron watch the game on Sunday, and where?

2. What fleet will HM be reviewing tomorrow, and where?

Phew! I was beginning to think nobody was keeping an eye on these folks!

David and Angela let the rest of the crowd make the decisions while they enjoyed a beer. I didn't hear whether fisticuffs were exchanged over that bad goal call!

And Liz is in Halifax at the start of her cross-country tour before addressing the UN on the way home.

I just hope the Black Bloc (or any other thugs and vandals) don't take as much exception to her presence as they did to the G20's.

Are they allowing Liz to climb that podium, yet, lol.... some official decided that at her age she would be at risk... I don't think she was too amused, lolol ;¬))

She touches down this aft. I shall keep an eye on google news for pictures of her standing on the podium, hopefully not for pictures of her falling off!

lolol... nope, that visit was cancelled, which is a shame cos it was in honour of her mother and I am sure she would have wanted to troop the colour or whatever it is she was going to do... sorry, googled it about an hour ago and got sidetracked with Ceebeebies (don't ask) and now I can't remember the details. But she is opening other Military things instead, and looking over some warships... so she has a very very full itinerary.

Right..... bribery and corruption icelolly has now been consumed... back to Ceebeebies. When did 4 year olds learn to be so assertive?

queen-s-visit-to-halifax-tripped-up-by-stair-fight

2010/03/30

Buckingham Palace has cancelled a July event in Halifax, reportedly because organizers refused to allow Queen Elizabeth II to climb a flight of stairs.

The Times of London reported Monday that the Queen was due to attend a military event, the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, during her visit to Canada in July.

She is no longer scheduled to do so after organizers and the monarch's representatives failed to agree on where she'd sit to watch the event.

The Queen, 83, and her 88-year-old husband first expected to view the tattoo from a 3.5 metre-high stage. To get there, the pair would have to climb a flight of 17 stairs.

Organizers suggested that was too dangerous for the royal pair. Buckingham Palace responded by pointing out the Queen is perfectly fit, still regularly riding horses.

Both sides apparently dug their heels in. Now the Queen will reportedly skip the event.

Tattoo organizers said in a statement Monday they're disappointed the Queen will not be attending. And they took exception to the description of the stairs to the stage as a staircase.

"Amidst all the rumours that are circulating, the tattoo wishes to make its position very clear," the organizers said. "The stairs in question are not stairs; they are theatrical presentation risers that no one uses without extensive rehearsals under show lighting conditions.

That's the one, Janey..... the whole shebang was started off by the Queen Mother (or in honour of her, but before she died) so Q E would have wanted to go to the Tattoo... she would have wanted to in memory of her mother. Shame, really.

Susan, she has found Ceebeebies website... a genius this child, lol... the tv is on in the background for light relief, and her daddy's pc up in his room is where she watches Dora the Explora and Peppa Pig DVD's, lol So my pc is on call out for Ceebeebie duty... also, I have the printer, so the pages to colour in can be printed off as she sees fit. *sighs*

However... I would go for Upsy Daisy, too... it's that skirt... real dodgy that is, I am sure she uses it in M & S to snaffle all the belgian chocolate...... I do hope I am not called as a character witness. ;¬))
