Julie Ann, he will have been *out* 5 years in September.... but he started his current job 5 years in August, lolol.... same job! So it still feels very similar to him, workwise. 34 years is a long time to be in the Army, lol... we saw a few changes, over the years.

We are off into Cardiff tomorrow, to visit my mum... and then on to Barry Island to build a sandcastle and have fish and chips, lol.... I have a big stack of coins so she can go on the merry go round... she loves it there.

blimey daff i knew your hubby was in the army but didnt realise he only came out bout 5 year ago,
mine been out now 16 year,
he does like to go to the parades thou
he enjoyed lookng round the vehicles,

the british legion motorbikers were there
and that was nice to see their vehicles, they are a cool old bunch

i hope your enjoying your visit from your grandaughter,

she was best not going to cardiff in that heat yesterday, especially with travelling

we were in a pub garden just by the side of the mini tescos, in side streets, opposite the bay, we just needed cold drink, and thats when we saw the fly past,
its such a proud moment to see them

The fly pasts came low right over my house, Julie Ann... the Lancaster was just spectacular. We are on the opposite (Newport) side of the bay... so had a lovely personal display all of our own, lol

We didn't go... my Granddaughter arrived after a long journey in the early hours, so we didn't want to risk taking her in case she was very tired. We will go next year though, and every year after that. The least we can do. Hubby was 34 years in the Army... came out almost 5 years ago, so it was a huge part of his life.

i didnt go on the ship,
it was very busy,
but i love cardiff bay, theres something about it thats so welcoming,
anytime of year,

as hubbys ex army , he enjoyed going round looking at the vehicles,
challenger tank being his fav,
some new ones he hadnt used 17 year ago

have to support um,

had the most fab day, went to cheer on all our fab troops

charles and camilla were there, but i didnt go to see them,

wonderful men marching in such heat, so well done,
and gentlemen too,
a big screen greeted them onto the bay with messages from stars,
and Nessa off gav and stacey said,
Cracking lads,
and your all gentlemen ,(im sure i heardher say,)

one proved that when i saw a young women pushing a buggy to some steps and he girlfriends were about to help but struggleing,
(they were doin the proper damsal in distress thing accidently im sure)
the young soldier jestured to them to let him take the feet end,
he helped um carry it up the steps,
now thats what i like to see,
true gentlemen,
tho we did see lots of um,
and the fly past by Lancaster and Spitfire was spectacular

i really should of warn some sunscreen
