was choosing a card for eldest today as she is 18 begining of July and got all emotional over ome of the verses is this a sign of age catching up with me and getting all soppy

It's a big milestone in her life and some cards are just full of over-the-top sentiments.
But I agree, if you find one with just the right words, it can make you feel all emotional.

Not your age, ...just you being a Mum.

Then I must be really soppy.

I cried when I put him into nursery at 2 years old
I cried when he started school at 4 years old
I cried when he went to senior school at 11
I cried when he left school and went onto college at 16
I cried when he was 18
and I have the tissues to hand for when he turns 21 next month

However, they were tears of joy that he was on a journey that would make him independant but also of sadness as my roll changes.
