A stick? Stone? Your foot? Just put your foot on their neck and press hard, works every time. |

But if you haven't anything to bang them on the head with when you come across one !!!!!! I have to say with shame I walk by quickly and hope the poor thing dies soon.I have found a few that seem to be lost in the middle of the road.I know the best thing for them would to be run over, but I have moved them to the verge, and then felt really bad as I have prolonged their life.I wish I was tougher. |

A quick tap on the head or twist and pull on the neck will do the job. But......lots of rabbits recover from it now. So...... |

I have seen several rabbits with this awful disease recently. It is just terrible to see.I had one in the garden a couple of years ago .Poor thing had the big bulging weeping eyes and could hardly move.I rang my vet and they said I could take it in to be put down.Which I did.I haven't got the guts to try and kill one as I'm too scared I wouldn't manage to do the deed properly. |

working at the uni we see lots of wildlife as were out in the sticks.but this year ive never seen so much Myxomatosis about ..years ago i could have easily put the rabbit out its misery but as ive got older i have to ask others to do it.i understand that rabbits are vermin ,but to see them suffer like they do is gut wrenching.the irony is i have a perfectly good lurcher who could deal with the rabbits there but the uni for obvious reasons would prefer they spend days suffering.sheeeeeeesh |
