Sorry, forgot to say thanks everyone. We had a bottle of cava to celebrate, last of the big spenders us!!!

Deanna, that is really good, you will probably out do us even second time around. Have to admitt there are some days that he really gets on my nerves, but think that is only because I am retired and we spend more time together, and he follows me around lol.

Never mind, we have managed to 'survive' 40 years.

Ann, congratulations, I met my husband in 1959 when I was fourteen, we married 7 yrs. later we are still together, the joke was every one said we would not last, all the people who said that are now divorced lol.

Well I know there's only so many days each month but when i found my mums fathers first marriage i was a bit overwhelmed, he got married 3rd Aug 1898 some 59 years to the day that i married himself!
Not found any more coincidences though . I remember thinking that on his wedding day he would have no thought ,other than his bride, that a grandchild would marry the same day in the future. Bless him he passed away in 1939 and i no memory of him as was only a toddler

was wondering if we matched. I met my OH in July 1955 at the local Catholic Sunday night dance. Didn't see him for a couple of weeks cos he was off with his cycling club and didnt get back in time, then i went away for a couple of weeks hollies in Aug We got together at the end of Aug and he asked me out .I was 18 and he was 21 . we got engaged Easter 1956 and married 3rd Aug 1957 and like you i have never regretted it . He can be a bit of a Victor as he has got older but we understand each other and are honestly each others best friend.

50 years married in August. And I can honestly say I have never regretted it.
