I have done extensive searching and the William I listed is yours. He matches everything I can find. I have not found a death as yet but also limited with the BMD as can only access till 1979, and cannot find him in any death notices as yet.

That is his army record. I would say why you do not know much is because he did not go home after the war, so many did not, families lost contact.

I know it is difficult when on limited income buying certificates. I usually buy transcriptions as so much cheaper.

Transcriptions.

Im terribly sorry but i have been busy.
Yes i ment Australia.
No i do not actually have the marriage certificate as i am on minimum wage i cant just go out and buy thing that arent needed.
Yes i know alot about Catherine and her family thats not who im looking for. I am Looking for William John Moran, as the only information i do have on him is he married Catherine and had a child (my grandfather) John Joseph Moran. No birth year, place, any other children.
I thank you for the death information on Catherine however as i did not know that other then birth deaths and marriages website i didnt know where else to look...
I dont honestly know if William was in the war or in the army or anything it could be possibility. William birth 1900 is only a rough guess.

As he is not with Catherine after the war it is possible, but not likely he perished, as a discharge date is evident, probably did not go home to his wife, many did not return to their spouses.

Only Birth for 1900

22793/1900, MORAN WILLIAM J M, father MICHAEL, mother ELLEN, INVERELL

Have found more but not interest shown, so off for the night.

Catherine was also born in Yass

8862/1898 MCKEIG CATHERINE I M , father ALEXANDER, mother ROSE V , YASS

There are many William John Moran's on the electroal rolls, so difficult to pinpoint. Have found one living with a Catherine Eileen in 1930 at Darling Harbour,

Also found this: MORAN Catherine Isabel Mary, Death notice, 02SEP1982 Death, Sydney Morning Herald, 03SEP1982.

Only one I can find that matches the birth of Catherine I M. It does not state where the death occured.

Lorraine it would be helpful if you could put even what country this family is from. Any other information as to place of birth and marriage would be appreciated.

Not sure if you mean Australia or Austria.

Gail

Edit: Marriage was in Yass, New South Wales, Australia. If you have the marriage cert it should say who his father and mother are, so would make it easier to track.

Im researching my dads side of the family and obviously his last name is moran. Ive hit a brick wall ending with my dad's grandfather. William John Moran. All i know about him is he married Catherine Mckeig in 1925 and they had one son that i know of John Joseph Moran born 26 Dec 1927. If ANYONE can help me i would greatly appreciate it
