Rosie,

Look at a home NVQ study course.

If you enroll to take the NVQ course at a college,you can do work within the work placement area usually day release from college,
No place will take you on unless you are doing an NVQ course.

Thanks-I've tried them they jut keep saying do an NVQ-but don't have the employment to do it. Only other is a Health and Physiology Accsess one-but its evenings ad have 3 kids and my hubby works shifts! typical I cn't seme to find somethng in the day when he kids are at school. I will keep pluggin away-thanks

Enroll at a local college for a course in healthcare,,this can get you an ongoing learning - study on the job,but healthcare work covers a wide area from elderly to children.

Took me 3 years to get a Diploma,!

I am trying to get a job as one and its darn near impossible without an NVQ!!! They want you to have one to start -but you can only gain one in a work environment!-gggrrr! Wondered if was just my local hospital or if anyone else had ame problem. in 3 years time our hospital won't have any as no-one can train there!
