NZ drew with italy today in the world cup.
Goes to show I think in this modern day of "professional"sports people when teams full of people that have everyday jobs can go to a competition and hold their own against people who are paid a small fortune to do nothing but play

What a goal from Smelz. I was happy just to see them qualify for the WC but to see them hold Italy to a draw was a joy. I'm tired though:-))

was a good match and I love the underdogs winning especially when they play like that and shows you dont have to be paid thousands to be able to play and hold your own with the big boys

well done NZ

Well it's certainly upset the Italian team, coach and supporters:-)) Now we just need to see a team wipe the smile off Maradonna's face.

Susie apparently a couple of kiwis out watching the match in italy were asked to leave the bar or resteraunt they were in at half time because the staff were concerned for their safety LOL
Tec I had my eyes half shut too

Good one guys. Once again, the small disregarded country to my East goes one up on the cocky country. Good luck in your next match.

Kinda sticks it to the telegraph who called them a team of part timers and no hopers

Sadly, New Zealand did not make it through to the final 16, But not a bad effort for a country of about 3 million people, most of whose religion is Rugby.
They won one, drew two so undefeated.
A better record than their bigger neighbour across the Tasman Sea.
Plenty of reason to smile, Tania.
