Joy Report 19 Jun 2010 21:04

So everyone that reported provocative posts should be suspended from posting?
In that case, I suspend myself .... :-)

the reporting was done last night , the same time as I reported, BEFORE the posts were removed by GR....on those grounds, why am I still here?

They noramlly do it if the reporter is also in the thick of the row, I was reported myself earlier in the week and also RR a post and I wasnt suspended..

if it is who I think it is, then yep as above and they should either keep their beak out or take their punishment like a man :)

Very odd decision.....I don't really understand it

That seems really strange Rose. Often several people report a post without knowing anyone has already reported it. Are they now trying to dissuade us from reporting posts then?

I believe GR has a new idea... which someone else mentioned to me, I thought it was perhaps a 'one-off' but it seems not...

"We've taken a look at the report of misuse that you made.

Unfortunately, we consider your report to be a breach of our terms of use. This
could be because:

- You have made several false reports already
- You have broken the house rules whilst using the boards "

Now I am aware that the above is not the case...so it would seem that at the 'discretion' of GR they will ban you for reporting someone that someone else has already reported, I 'assume' GR think it must be a conspiracy if more than one person reports the same abusive post...makes no sense whatsoever

StrayKitten Report 19 Jun 2010 20:21

what? they got suspended for reporting how does that work, GR tell you to report rather than argue back, strange, x

Rambling

Rambling Report 19 Jun 2010 20:17

I won't name because then this will get whooshed... but the person was banned for reporting a post which was then deleted by GR...I reported it too, as did at least one other person ...all of whom were what I would call 'neutrals' in the argument.

that's just plain daft, banning a person for reporting abuse that they ,GR, AGREE was abuse....
