Hello Lesley,

You may also have problems with displaying your email address on the board as I think it's against the terms and conditions???. Perhaps you could check with GR about it as I'd hate for them to delete your thread particularly if you have many replies just because someone reported the email address.

I wonder if you should put this on the tips board, not because it is on the wrong board but, being a chat board it tends to move faster and your post will disappear. There may be more interest on there too from people who don't venture onto the chat board.

Hi, I am a (very) mature student at Swansea University doing a PhD on the history of children and the Swansea Poor Law Union 1834-1910.
I am researching children in Swansea workhouse, Cockett Cottage Homes, the Cambrian Institution for the Deaf and Dumb, Swansea Institution for the Blind and various other orphanages and training ships in and around Swansea.
I would love to hear from anyone who are trying to fing their families in any of these institutions and would be very pleased to check my research to see if I have any records relating to them.
