Julie, Good Morning. I saw that thread when I turned on this morning at 7.00. After a quick flick through the board to see what was on, I went back to have a read of that thread and it had gone. It was by Amokavid,I think, and had two posts on it. Yes it was about FMP.

Kay ..I probably may agree if they are only going after the 1911, but think that they will look for just more than 1911, there are all the other records they hold also.

I keep meaning to make a list out of things I want to look at because I am sure I can spend more than 90mins on the site. Mind I am being greedy and doing 3 trees at the moment. Mine OH's and a friends.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 17 Jun 2010 17:51

Uzz,:}}

Well if someone is going to spend a whole 90 mins just on 1911 then I'd like to know how many families they have fgs, within half hour you can find most 1911 info...

So it's pick your timings right ...during the match may not be a good idea as many not footie people will be on there.

So who's going on at what time ?

Kay I have just realised (duhhhh) that you mean 7.30 am saturday ...sorry was being dense there !

Kay????

Kay???? Report 17 Jun 2010 10:03

HI IZZ,
As its over 24 hours,,cut off time is 9am gmt,so to get abt 90 mins 7-30ish will and youll be able to take advantage the full 90mins if you log in at 8-30 gmt ,youll be cut off at 9-am gmt,
make adjustments for your countires time difference,,,,,,but overall the free access will be over a 24 hour time scale.

UzziAndHerDogs Report 17 Jun 2010 09:54

They have cut it down from 3hrs to 90 mins but at least are giving us 24hrs in which to search.
I was confused by the 7.30am log in time ?

1. Register on the website before midnight (UK time) on Thursday, June 17. If you have already registered, you do not need to do this again.

2. Return to findmypast.co.uk any time between 9am UK time on Friday, June 18 and 9am Saturday, June 19 and sign in: you can now even watch the match as well!

3. Once you have signed in, you will have 90 minutes to search and view the records for free at your leisure (and a time of your choosing)

The way I read it is as long as registered you can log in anytime but once you have you then have 90mins no going in and out of it ...or am I reading it wrong ?
