Sue so good you had a great time.

Strangly OH had thrown a couple of quiz questions at me for GR about Blondie ...Liz they are still safe. She does look good doesn't she and she can sing and play also .....come on newbie girl rockers an example.

Ahh the good old Tony Hadley, explains why a friend of mine did a 2 day turn around flight from Canada to the UK this month. Mr Idol was also in the country and she runs his fan club, but she is in adoration of Tony.

I am most envious of you, mind I would have had to visit mother also, so maybe not lol .

*turns green* and you had good weather ....

Amazing to think she is almost 65!

Deborah Ann "Debbie" Harry (born July 1, 1945) is an American singer–songwriter and actress, most famous for being the lead singer for the New Wave band Blondie. She has also had success as a solo artist, and in the mid-1990s she performed and recorded as part of The Jazz Passengers. Her acting career spans over thirty film roles and several television appearances.

Life and early career

Harry is the daughter of Catherine and Richard Harry, gift shop proprietors in Hawthorne, New Jersey, who adopted her at the age of three months at which time she was in Miami, Florida. According to Harry's website, her birth parents' names on her original birth certificate are Scottish: MacKenzie and Trimble. She also stated that her name prior to adoption was Angela Trimble. She has never traced the roots of her birth parents, but said she may do so in the future. She attended Hawthorne High School, where she graduated in 1963 She graduated from Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey with an Associate of Arts degree in 1965. Before starting her singing career she moved to New York City in the late 1960s and worked as a secretary at BBC Radio's office there for one year. Later, she was a waitress at Max's Kansas City, and worked in a Dunkin' Donuts, after which she was a dancer in Union City, New Jersey, and a Playboy Bunny.

Hi All

What an amazing weekend!!!!

Apart from a very red nose, I've brought back so much. All of it memories. So here goes:

Best act - difficult, but I think Florence and the Machine

I've found someone new to love - Paloma Faith

Could've been disappointing, but definitely wasn't - Paul McCartney. Don't let anyone tell you that old men can't rock! Watch this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hmw9PvI2GI

Best all-round show - definitely Pink - have a look! That was me, glimpsed momentarily behind the yellow flag..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNQapdJ_oYU

Brought a bit of a tear to the eye - Spandau Ballet. Not so long ago Tony Hadley was a has been (remember re-borne in the USA?), but here he was, commanding 50 odd thousand people, many of whom had never heard of Spandau Ballet the first time round. (funny to see Mr Kemp playing a guitar instead of being in Eastenders or being a Kray - but here he was, back to his roots)

And, finally, how does this woman look so good? - Debbie Harry shows the over 60s that life isn't all bus passes http://video.search.yahoo.com/search/video;_ylt=A0SO8ZidpRZMhScAHH77w8QF;_ylu=X3oDMTBncGdyMzQ0BHNlYwNzZWFyY2gEdnRpZAM-?p=isle+of+wight+2010&fr=chr-yie8&ei=utf-8&fr2=tab-web&n=21&tnr=20&y=Search
