can anyone tell me as a gold member how to get onto this without subscribing to become a platinum member? Every time I try to access it just keeps coming up with platinum member for £60+ - which I can't afford at the minute. Thanks Jeand

GR have introduced a new layer to access the 1911 census. The other places you can find it are at www.1911census.co.uk
or at
Findmypast.

In all cases, there is a charge to view this particular census. It is not included in the standard FMP packages. There, you can either take out a census package PLUS 1911, or 1911 unlimited access by itself.

In all cases, you can purchase credits to view the records you think may be appropriate after having undertaken a free search. This may be your best option. Of course, the cheapest (and cheekiest!) way is to ask for a 'look up' on 'Records' or 'Trying to find'!!!

FMP have offered unlimited access to all their records on England match days, from 30 min before kick off, for 3 hours. Unfortunately, on Friday there was such heavy demand, that the servers were unable to cope and very few people appear to have had much joy.
