You won't get anything on WW2 apart from POW records (at Kew, and some on Ancestry), if they were killed (Commonwealth War Graves) if they were an officer (London Gazette), or if they received an award other than the standard medals (Documentsonline) and if you know regiment and battalion, war diaries (at Kew).

you should be able to get some info on them wiht army numbers and names, theres a guy on here was saying yesterday it was his fav subject, ill go back and find his name and come back

Which war? If WW1, surviving service records are on Ancestry, if WW2 the records are still with the MOD and there's a £30 charge (and a long wait) for copies.

Thank you if you are taking the time to read this and maybe even help me. I have a couple of relatives who took part in the war and I have their military number details but do not know where to look for more details on them. I can only seem to find people who died in the war.
