I have obtained the copy of a military service record, which shows Edward Frank Bishop being Invalided from R.N. Hospital Haslar on 4 Nov 1926. Does anyone have any information about this hospital or whether any records exist for it please?

RN Hospital Haslar is/was situated in Gosport Hants. It is no longer a military hospital, in fact I am unsure if it is a hospital at all now. I imagine the records will come under RN records.

There was a 'Time Team' special about it only a few weeks ago! I think it was in Gosport. They were excavating a cemetary and trying to match up a few skeletons to the records, which do exist, possibly in the NA

Thank you Ann. Though I imagine RN records are vast and may take some ploughing through!

Thanks for the "heads up" I have just found the Time Team Special online and am going to watch it for some clues about any records. Thank you.
