If any of you are in the Colchester area and get a chance to look at today's Evening Gazette, page 13 carries a write up on my eldest son. We did not know that this was going to appear so it was a real suprise to open the paper and see him staring back at me!!!

Love you Ash x x x x

Hi Izzy

Just got a copy of the gazette.
You all must be so proud of your Son. He is very brave in his role and also to do the medic training as well.

I would think everyone at St Bens and the Institute must be very proud as well.

Cooper you must be on my doorstep, where are you?
We are all sooooo proud of him, he's having some good chillaxing time on R&R at the moment, and may well nip into St Bens to catch up with some old teachers.

Izzy, I have just had a look.... he is a handsome and talented young man. It takes a very special type of bravery to do what he is doing... and my experience of them is that so often they are very shy and modest as well.

You must be very very proud of him, in spite of your fears.

Love and ((((((hugs))))))

Hi Izzy I am in Halstead and work in Colchester.
Eldest off spring went to Colchester 6th form where Dermott O leary pops in from time to time(ex St Bens)
She is at Essex Uni now.

My friends offspring went to the same school as your son.
I think one may have been in the same year group.
He is just 21.

I saw where you live in the paper.
When we go to the coast its always there.
Its a nice place to take children in the summer and to walk in the winter.

Hi Cooper the paper got a little confused with things, we do not actually live on the coast, grandma does, we are in a tiny village between colly and Ipswich. Your friends youngster must have been a year ahead of Ash, cos he's only just turned 20.
I cannot believe that is my boy , he has grown so much in the past few years, he has an amazing maturity about him that astounds me, and he is so modest about the risks he takes everyday out on tour, to him he's just part of a team making the area safe for everyone else.
I love him to the moon and back XXX

Hi Izzy,Its brilliant that your Son is in the paper and such a good role model.

So many bad things get reported about the youngsters in the press but the gazette has some positive stories about our local youngsters.

My family and in- laws have all been in the services so always keep a keen interest.

I hope your son has a good time off and the weather holds up.

Thank you everyone for looking at my handsome lovely young man.x
Cooper he is actually enjoying the wet weather we've had for the last couple of days, he reckons there is only so much sun you can take before it gets tedious, he is a beautiful shade of bronze though.
