I think I over-reacted with excitement about a new series of Torchwood :-)

That was just a couple of hundred yards away from where I am currently sitting, Maggie...... it was a very scary time it would seem... I had tenants in the house then, nurses from the same hospital, two of them. They moved away, and I can't say I blame them.

I think the media tends to over-react, which may have a knock-on effect.
People see lurid headlines shouting this and that and presume this is the 'right' reaction.
Evidence of this are the peadophile attackers, who, in their 'enthusiasm' for what they believed was the right reaction (spurred on by the media) attacked a peadiatrician!!!

well yes like Stray I can get a little over excitable..... **glares **

I dunno..... that is my latest favourite word, courtesy almost four year old... she says it all the time, lol.

The thing is, I only know, really and properly, how I react, and my generation.... I have no real knowledge of whether I over or under react, as I don't know what the yardstick is.

I DO know that I am a little less tolerant of some things than I used to be... but then, I am of a certain age and so I should be practicing being a grump... no, really I should.... if a job is worth doing, it's worth doing properly, I say.

What I will also say is that we are now more aware ofthe reactions of others all around the world, than any other era... tv, radio, internet etc etc.... so we can actually see the reactions of others, which we had not been able to witness in earlier generations.

So....

I dunno, lol

Yes.

I think people are more sensitive about things. Maybe once in a while there was more of a tendency to shrug and think "hey, sh*t happens" but people don't seem to do that much nowadays.

(I am generalising madly here!)

Everything has gotten to PC and people now tend to overreact over the smallest thing. It is ridiculous : )
