updated to say once more I have managed to stop a potential punch up

wayyyyyyy hayyyyyyyy

this is looking good, not that I think the days of fighting are over. Just learning to stop the small squabbles. Mind I had to tell he no, here more than once and you could see that she was thinking of going but in the end I won and she came to heel. :-))))))))))))))))

Oh I know Cesar Milan stuff and it's good, shame I can't afford him to sort my problem out. I try to be assertive but often when she goes to fight (and Mini fights back) I lose it and end up like a bloody fish wife screaming at them. They then go and nose shuffle to each other whilst I shake like a druggie on their second come down week. ( no offence to druggies)

Sounds like she's making up for lost time!
Remember Cesar Milan's words - straight back, assertive, and chastise quietly but firmly - with meaning!!!
Sounds like you're getting there! :o)

I 'met' a staffie yesterday. friend and I were sitting under a tree. I accidently caught the dog's eye, she was on a lead, but her owner let her run at us. She 'kissed' my friend over his face, then turned to me and grabbed my arm in her mouth and just kept moving her mouth up and down it - I could feel her teeth - fortunately her tail was wagging furiously!!
It could have been frightening, but I though it hilarious.

One of my cats does this - it's a sign (from him) of great affection - but it feels really weird when he grabs the skin on the front of my knee between his teeth!
Rather a cat did it than a staffie though!

Maggie she is 5 now, we found her dumped at about 8weeks old and for the 1st 2 years the 2 were okay together, Mini was about 3/4 when we got minx and NOT a mother so you can imagine her shock a year after finding a home to have a leggy brat who quickly grew to twice the size. she did blet out at times plus Minx's first year was spent at the vets as she has a hip displacement, he 2nd year build her up and we wouldn't let Min bully her, then she turned into the bully. So we have spent 3 yrs trying to sort this, although it has got much worse in the last 18mths.

Well done! As you say - one small step.
How old is Minx?
I only ask, as you liken her behaviour to that of a teenager. The one doag I've had from a puppy, and every cat I've had from a kitten has, at about 9 months old, started behaving like a teenager - moody, sulky, stroppy, not wanting to be stroked etc. Every time, I ask myself where the cute loving kitten has gone.
Apparently most cats have serious accidents between the ages of 8 months to about a year - 10 months being the 'optimum' time for an accident (and the time one of my current cats managed to get run over and come home with a broken jaw)
If a cat can survive the first year without getting themselves killed, they're likely to live a long life!

Oh BTW, they are totally different by the time they're 2 (cats that is!)

I am a happy(ish) bunny today.

Minx went to have a go at Mini (again and not happy making) but I shouted (firmly in a very stern voice) 'NO MINX' and she stopped and came back to me !!!

I am most stunned nah I'm bl**dy g*bsmacked.
Okay Mini had time to get under her chair which helped and I was holding Minxs' harness up ready to lead her up, but that hasn't stopped her before.
Is she learning as it was only a few days ago that she really got a smack for trying to rip Mini's head off when she was laid under the chair.
Mind she may also realise I am not a happy bunny as my net has been playing up all week.

claws and paws x'd please that this is the year the Minx grows up and becomes a lady instead of an asbo teenager ;-)))))
