Good Morning Jean
I think Ann in Glos. had one about 18months ago. I remember seeing something to that effect on the boards. She is away on holiday this week, I think.
Good Luck

Hi I have an Advent notebook and have done for about a year now and i love it, my hubby and eldest son also have them, eldest took his out to Afghan, and it is really great for him to transport about in his kit bag.
I really like that they are lightweight, and portable, the keyboard takes a little getting used to if you are used to having a larger laptop, but all in all it is great.

Hi , l also have a Advent notebook and love it, l wouldn't go back to anything else.
It suits my needs and l can sit in the living room with my OH and use it while watching the tv and can still be part of family life, lol

Had mine for about 2 years now and no trouble with it.

Thanks for that, on that basis I will order one. I want it to use in the sitting room as you say, not to be shut away with computer. I will also use it on the occasions I manage to get the feet up rest I am suppose to have!! on other thing, will I have the same e-mail address as on my main computer?

Talking about me behind my back!!!!!!! Yes I am on holiday, and so incidentally is my notebook!! I am in Dorset and on OH's laptop, my norebook is in Madrid, I hope it has been rescued from the airport and will soon be on its way to Tenerife.

Anyway. yes the notebook I have is a Samsung and is very good, always gets a good write up. the best thing about mine is that it has a three quarters key board even though it is small itself, and also the battery has a very long life, but it is more than £80, nearer £300. £80 is very cheap, what make is it JEAN?

The website is Ijt direct, and the notebook is an Allfine, with Windows CE, 2GB SSD. With 32bit processor, sd card slot, 2 usb slots Ethernet, headphone and line in sockets, stereo speakers. 12 months garauntee(sp) I didnt want to pay a lot as I have a perfectly good computer, but wanted something to use when putting my feet up etc I still cant find out how they work or how you get an internet connection.

Jean, I would be a bit wary about buying one, if you google "allfine notebooks" one of the first results is this one:-

Unfortunately, most people are against it.
Internet connection is via wireless or ethernet.
I would want more than 2Gb of storage space myself.
