daughter went for the 9.02 express bus so that she could get into school a bit early as she has exams starting today and guess what?
The B....y driver drove passed her.

Has this ever happened to you?

That's really poor service, and the last thing she needed when she is probably nervous enough as it is. Hope you've phoned up and complained to the Bus Company.

Not being a regular bus user, I've fortunately not been in this position. My gripe is that the internet published timetables have no bearing to the operating ones, meaning I missed the homeward bus and had a choice of either waiting 2 hours, or a £11 taxi fare.

perhaps the express bus only stops at specified places?

BOb could be right there, it's an express bus, and what will make it 'express' is only stopping at certain designated stops, and not all general stops. Its the same on the trains.

For instance, on the train, if I were to travel to Ely from Norwich, which I do regularly to visit my mum, the express train would only stop at Thetford then Ely.

The normal train stops at Wymondham, Attleborough, Thetford, Brandon then Ely, putting a good 10 mins on the journey. I would imaging the buses operate in a similar way.

My daughter uses this stop all the time and on the sign post it reads "This is a stop for ALL bus services".
Mrs Angry has lodged a complaint.

Happened to me just last week. Not our 'local' bus, but a park & ride that wanted to catch to get to the railway station.
Another thing the P & R buses do is sometimes ignore the car park (not a P & R one), and go down the parallel road - leaving me stuck in the car park like Billy no-mates!

With our 'local' bus (I live on the outskirts of Winchester), which runs every half hour, if there is a lack of buses for the other 'local services, that run every 10 minutes and every 15 minutes, they take our bus off and put it on their route! If any bus isn't going to run, it'll be ours. We've been given the most amazing excuses - the most common being: 'There's been an accident on the motorway' - our bus doesn't go on the motorway.
They really hate the reply - 'That's your problem - you solve it and provide what your paid to do!'
