RAIN'S STOPPED PLAY TODAY

It had been raining with thunder and lightening here since about 5.00 this morning. Still raining now.
We were going to three open gardens for charity this afternoon, but unless a miracle happens, they will probably be off. Such a shame after the owners' hard work to get them ready, and it is for charity. On the other hand we are glad of the rain for our gardens and allotment. You can't suit everybody.
Enjoy your day

Morning Julia
We have had no rain but there was a fair bit of lightening last night. It is just a murky muggy morning .Maybe the rain will move away in time for you to visit the gardens.

Morning Jane, I really do hope it clears up for this afternoon, not so much from my point of view, but from that of the people who are opening their gardens. The work that must go into getting them ready for competition work/open to the public, must be terrific. I know how much work I have to put into my own garden, to get it how I like it.
Then there is all the cake making that goes on also. I wanted to go as much for a cup of tea and slice of home made cake, as looking at the garden, at the same time as supporting charity.
I said on maggiewinchester's thread yesterday, that we seem devoid of anything going on around here. It is such a shame when these things are a wash out
Enjoy your day
