Yes.... I do it almost immediately now... I lost all my granddaughter's Christmas photos when I got zapped by a Windows/microsoft download that screwed up my pc.... I was gutted, absolutely gutted. I thought I had saved them to my external hard drive.... but only the folders and the odd photo... all of bl**** the Christmas tree and cose ups of the baubles to practice with my new camera.... *sobs at memory*

Love

Oh no Daff, that's awful. I think I'm going to do another backup this weekend.

My computer went kaputt recently, fortunately I had backed up and also the hard drives were ok but I have lost stuff in the past.

NB wasn't it Uzzi that lost loads of photos once?

My external hard drive does daily backups. At least I think it does. I hope it does. I would hate to lose everything. I did put a lot of things onto CDs as well, but am told they last only a couple of years. I would have thought it these modern times things would last longer than that, but I suppose it is the built-in obsolesence thing.
