Since upgrading to IE8 I now have the fun of the bouncing screen when typing in the GR text box.

Well I am assuming that is the reason.

Is there anyone out there who is still on IE6 or any other browser who has this strange phenonema.

Is there anyone else out there who is using IE8 and has the bouncy screen.

I can not see why it would make a difference to a web site as to what browser you use.

I have logged into the .com.au and the .co.uk versions of GR and the result is the same.

I am on Firefox and my screen has also started bouncing and 'sliding'. Only on GR.

On your menu, usually at the top of the screen (I'm not on Firefox, but had the same problem) is there the word 'Page'?
If so, click on it and tick 'compatability view'.

I had this problem a few weeks ago only on GR. We are on Internet Explorer.

The advise that was given was to go into tools at the top of the screen and then tick compatability view.

I have had no problems since.

At work. Still using IE6. No problems with bouncing. No compatability view under tools menu either.

When I get home tonight I will check that out. Will let you know what happens.

Thanks for your replies.

Well this is the big test. Hi Mary, good to see it worked for you.

Let's hope that by the time I arrive at the bottom

of this page my screen will allow me to go further.

So far so good. No bouncing yet.

Well here I am down here and am still typing and can see the script as I go.

Let's go down a bit further,

just to make sure I am not dreaming.

Ah isn't it nice to see what you are typing while you are actually typing it.

I'm taking up a lot of space. This is so much fun.

Whoo hoo, it works it works.

Can I edit. Yes I can. And there is no bouncing.

Thanks to all those lovely people who answered the query and suggested the fix.

Now Aunty will be able to go back to Nut Lodge and drive the other Nutters crazy with her whole page of superfluous, insignificant, ultra boring words once again!!!

Clicking compatibility view has not entirely stopped the bounce on my screen. Will try again tomorrow.

Jean mine still does the very occasional flip when I begin to type but I can at least type a decent page without the major bounce which prevents you from seeing what you are typing. I think I might be too impatient to get started and don't give it enough time to register the cursor in the box.
