Mau, absolutely amazing... I had heard of Emily Pankhurst of course... but we did the Russian revolution at school and it was all so boring, lolol.... my Nan did talk about when she voted for the first time... her husband beat the heck out of her because she refused to tell him who she had voted for, she didn't tell me that, my aunt did years later... can you believe that?

But I hadn't heard of this heroine... I have to admit to having got my heroines a bit muddled... I thought it was Emily Pankhurst who threw herself under the horse.....

It would seem that she managed to get herself recorded on the 1911 census in the Houses of Parliament... by hiding in the crypt!

This is an article by Findmypast... not sure if I am supposed to put it on here, but hey ho... this is a genealogy site after all ;¬))
