Can someone give me a second opinion please? The reference below gives a page on the census containing Lewis Griffiths senior and Lewis Griffiths junior. Senior's occupation, I think, says 'Ironballer', the young lad's says, I think, 'Ironpiler'. |

Have had a look at the maps - there is Garnddyrys - which could be the same thing. Its actually in the north of Blaenavon - certainly within walking distance of the ironworks on the main road through Blaenavon towards Abergavenny. |

Age doesnt matter, children were working in those days. My father started work at the age of 11 in 1911. |
