There was something in the papers yesterday about the regurgitating bloke!!
Fascinating but how dangerous....apparently all he eats is chocolate and things like that, never proper meals:o((

Sorry Helen...gone off topic abit, although its sort of simular:o)

And just to digressing... That Steve fellow (who regurgitates!) auditioning on BGT has been on several European TV shows over the past several years! Makes u wonder how many "original" acts do appear on these competitions!

Thanks Jude
I think no matter who the UK puts in, no matter how good they are, it's the tactical voting that does the damage.

Hello Helen.......that sounds great fun:o)

Yeh we have it all wrong, we should have used someone like Cheryl Cole that song she brought out a few months ago with the soldier type outfits, she sang it on X Factor....or as Jan50 says someone from X Factor or Britians got talent. The expert (so called) song writers can't get it right so let the UK public have more of a say!!?

l did'nt even bother to watch it this yr, not even heard the winner. Its become so boring and predictable:o((

Don't u think it's about time the EuroSong was just that?Just have a singer up there with no backing dancers, etc? It's supposed to be voting for a song after all! Remember Marie Miriam ("Comme un oiseau")! That was brilliant! (No orchestra even at the beginning of that song!)
Too much techno now!

Yes, I believe Hanover was one big party at the weekend!

How interesting to go and see all the fun.

Don't go signing up for a job tho, you would have to work all hours even at that high rate of pay, to enjoy living there, if it is expensive.

The winner Lena? comes from the same place my friend lives, Hannover in Germany, so she told me there were lots of celebrations there at the weekend.

Hi everyone, we have just returned from Norway and from the competition!!!

UK came last and deservedly so, poor old Josh who did his best.
Pete Waterman, who was on our flight out, should be ashamed of himself.

The thing is, the whole of Europe is transfixed by this competition and we just couldn't believe it. We booked flights and hotels last September, only got tickets in February but went with friends for the weekend.

Oslo was like one great big international party and, in our early 50s, we were possibly the oldest people there on Saturday evening. We were all dancing in the streets, singing on the trains and buses and chatting with people from all over the world. I was interviewed on Australian TV and my friends sang the Belgian entry for Antwerp TV (even though they had never heard it before.)

My point is that, due to the cynicism of UK TV, we must have missed a trick, because the German winner, Lena, was already number 1 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, I think, and the twenty-somethings around us in the stadium sang all the words to all the songs, including our entry, and were so encouraging to us.

So what do we think? Maybe the European winner to sing at our Royal Variety Performance in December. Maybe the winner of the X Factor to be the Eurovision entry before they get too famous.

The many different musical styles of the entrants make it difficult for famous singers to maintain their success should they lose so I understand that - but we do need to do something about this. There were about 18,000 people at the stadium with us and thousands more outside.

UK get your act together.

PS Oslo is the most expensive place I have ever been to. This morning two coffees and two Pepsis came to £28. This was at a hotel, to be fair. Having said that, we are now completely brassic, but the English waiter at our hotel told us he was on £21 an hour.... where do I sign up???
