Throwing gauntlets of mockery are only going to bolster up Sues chances you know.....lol ....I'm a bit squiffy and would like to say that I believe this thread might well reach over seven pages of nonsence.

Lost marbles turn up again in the most unexpected places . Personally I keep mine in a little bag on the key rack in the kitchen .

It takes a lot to lure me away from the Aussie thread, but I must defend my mate Allan against the Sisterhood - he is a gentleman of the first water.

Oh here comes the cavalry:-)) Amanda and I were doing quite nicely, Tec. We were playing cats with a mouse in our claws:-))

Tec, your arrival is very opportune!!

It seems that no matter which threads I post on I eventually end up the butt (no comments, thank you!) of people's humour.

I may as well join facebook and be really bullied :0))

Well I'm not doubting that Allan is a gentleman but am now curious to know what the meaning of " the first water "...... ? Is that an Oz thing , do you have to go diving into water to look for your marbles ?

Signed curious of England x

I'm not sure either Amanda - but as Tec is in Wales I think it could be one of those quaint Welsh sayings:-))

You cats should be careful, have you never heard of the mouse that roared, Allan can be quite fearsome when he's up against it - and your Wheelie Bin is likely to disappear too.

A case of skipping away with the skip :0))

It's like a wheelie bin only wheelie bigger

Allan

Apologies, Amanda. This is a reference to something on Sue's Aussie thread !

Tec is in Wales then......Land of my Fathers .......that place does call to me somewhat .

Allan

Allan Report 28 May 2010 23:49

Amanda, I must admit to a great fondness for Wales.

I spent many happy holidays there in my childhood and days of my youth.

I think I'm still here Tec ....lol..... my internet connection is playing up a bit : (

I wish I'd know Wales in my childhood but unfortunatly my Mum was a bit reluctant to mix with my Dads family . I have found various cousins on my Dads side ( and they are lovely lovely people ) with the beautiful Welsh lilt of an accent : ))
