ive often wondered the same thing .for example...say a brain surgeon was to show you how to do a specific surgery ,im sure when you,ve watched enough and with constant guidance for a few years you,d be able to do it.well i think so anyway. |

Even though a certain level of intelligence is necessary for certain qualifications I do not think the examination process proves that level of intelligence. You could be the best student on the course but nerves take over when sitting the exam and their qualification would then not mirror their understanding, capability or ability to apply the knowledge gained from the course. |

Some quaifications are impossible to get without a certain amount of intelligence. |

That depends on the person. A person with qualifications can be very intelligent but not necessarily. Just as a person with not much education can be very intelligent..... or not. Education is a powerful tool if used correctly and can open many doors. |

No I'm uneducated but i can do and have done varied jobs and been in management, i think personal experience of certain things and situations is enough to start you off in some jobs and in some jobs you learn through that job, a friend who is a biology teacher gave me a exam paper i got a pass at 87% correct, science/ biology was one lesson i would not do because the teacher had a fetus in a jar on her shelf and would not remove it, can you imagine in this day that happening in a class room barbaric. |

Personally I think not. I think they prove an ability to work under pressure and to sit exams but not to apply the knowledge gained from the course. |
