Ok you have probably received a message from me that does not have any photos on it. At the moment I just can't work out how to send them I will keep looking and see if I can find out how to do it.

Yes, so many memories of this day over the years right back to the main event. Just looking at a photo of me on the day, I could no way get into that dress now and, goodness how young I look. I remember it was a very very windy day and for the photos my head dress and veil was secured by close pegs. We had a good 60+ years, I can't complain; some people don't get as many as that, I am greedy I would have liked a few more, but only if T had remained in good health as he was up to 6 months before he died.
I enjoyed my chat with my friend, she is two years older than me and until recently was still going to exercise classes. But she is having trouble with her leg and is walking with a stick, the first time I have been out with somebody who is walking slowly and more painfully than me.

I shall be thinking of you today Anng. Just go up the garden as Vera says with a nice G & T and enjoy the happy memories.
Suns out here and its 19 degrees and to expect 6 rainy days starting tomorrow.
Somehow I have signed up to a monthly sub on Amazon. I noticed it lastmonth on my statment and its just come out again. I think it to do with next day free delivery and I don't buy much on Amazon now so I am going to try and cancel it as its 8.99 a month and thats a lot for nothing I want.

A day of memories for you Ann and perhaps wondering what might have been. Have a drink in a special corner of your garden and raise a glass to your lovely T. May all your memories be sweet ones <3
No rain yet and our handyman is working well. I walked up to our little Morrisons this morning as I didn't feel too bad. There and back is about a mile and a half and I had had more than enough by the time I got back. I get annoyed that I can't walk faster or further when I've always been a good walker.
OH is calling that lunch is ready so I'd better get downstairs, eat that and try and think of something for dinner tonight.

Morning all,
Lovely sunny morning here and it feels quite muggy .
Going out into the front garden to do a bit of weeding this morning ,everywhere is so dry although we did have a little rain yesterday which just wet the ground but soon dried up.
Oh Vera what a shame the mice got to so many of your things in the garage ,it must have been awful going through all the things you'd stored away and having to throw them out , hope your back is getting easier each day but don't go doing to much to soon .
Oh Mel thats a shame about your car but it's done well ,what sort of car do you fancy next or have you just left it to Stuart to sort you ons out .
Ann thats an early appointment time for your jabs our doctors don't open till eight even for the flu jabs which they usually do on a Saturday morning .
Anng just a coffee and natter ,bet you buy a plant :-D
Two squares to go so I'm getting there ,now Lacey wants ons ,I'll soon have square eyes , her colour choice is two shades of pink and pale green with white but I think cream would look better.

Good morning all
No rain yet but it is forecast to rain at some time every day for the next 8 days and, guess what, our fence painting starts today. Our handyman is here now.
I hope Stu can find you a nice car very quickly Mel. It’s horrible if you are without transport, particularly in a rural area. Our car is 17 years old but should see us out as I don’t think we’ll be driving for too much longer. I’m dreading that time but we’ll just have to manage.
Your surgery seems to be leading you a bit of a dance with your blood tests and medication review Annx. Our Covid and flu jabs were booked for 11 Oct when we had our last ones in April.
Not sure what I am going to do today but I expect I will manage to keep busy.

Morning girls,
Woke at 7.40am for the loo and it was tipping it down so I went back to bed for a lie in. Its 16 degrees here and pc is telling me the rain will stop in 39 mins. Its just fine rain now but it was thundering down earlier. The garden will love it but so will the weeds.
I shan't be going anywhere today as I have no transport.

Good morning all 15 degrees, o rain despite forecast of course.
Ann you crept in there when I didn't notice. What a lovely long post.
I am waiting to hear about my annual blood test they normally call me around my birthday and I have just 2 weeks left of my prescription so need to chase it up I have a note on my calendar to do this. We have had a general notification that the next covid update vacc will be soon and to wait until the dates come out to book.
Goodness knows what is lurking in my loft. I must get a grandson to go up and check for me some time. any paper stuff I have kept is stored in a tin trunk in the bottom of one of the spare room wardrobes, not sure how to get it out of ther so will have to go through it while in situ.
Off out later to local garden centre with friend and her daughter, just for a coffee and natter really.

Evening All,
A cooler, breezy day today. The binmen turned up at 6.30am and made such a noise and that was just their shouting to each other. We were up early anyway as we didn't know whether the window cleaner might turn up and we needed to shower before he came. He didn't, so I went to the hairdresser's for my 9.00 am appointment while OH went for a walk.
OH had a text to book his flu jab which made me wonder about mine so I looked online and they had supposedly sent me a text 3 weeks ago which I could not find. Also, surprise, surprise Vera, it said I needed to see my responsible clinician for a review of my meds! I needed to book my annual thyroid blood test so rang them. I've got an appointment for my flu/covid jabs five minutes after OH's flu jab on the first of October at 7.00am!! (should at least be easy to park then). I booked my blood test for next month. Then I asked to book the review and was told she would speak to their pharmacist and the note about me needing an appointment for a review would be removed before I needed to order more meds. She said the request was probably because I was more than a year overdue for my thyroid blood test. I checked when I got home and I'm not actually overdue at all. I told her friends were seen face to face but she insisted it was only because I was late for the thyroid test that a note had gone on. :-S Then I did some admin and little else all day.
We had just a few minute sprinkle of rain too AnnG, not enough to do any good though.
Mel I'm glad you cleared that up as I was confused about the house/garage. You wouldn't go out leaving a house door unlocked in these parts these days though. Mum did it all the time when I was in my teens/twenties and they lived in a village with just 6 properties on the road and surrounded by fields. She'd walk 15 minutes to the village shop, have a natter and walk home again. I would call sometimes and go inside and wait for her and tell her I'd pinched all her jewellery when she got home. She still did it when she moved to a bigger house in the city that had lockup garages round the back. Then one day, one of the old ladies said a strange man had been upstairs. She found out he'd stolen money, so she locked outside doors after that. Oh sorry to hear about your car. That wasn't what you expected or wanted to hear. Hopefully with Stu working with cars he will be able to find you a good one. I must admit I hate being without my car.
I hope your back has carried on improving Vera. It is so frustrating and easy to think you'll just get a bit more done outside and it ends up being too much. As for H/W I still have more of that infernal dust to remove. I discovered it has even clung to all the walls as well and throughout the bungalow as they had all the doors open. I think we will probably find more mouse damage when we start clearing more of the remaining side of our garage. OH is worried about all the footie programmes he was bequeathed and wants to reduce the amount and put the keepers in plastic boxes. I am worried about my old civil war cavalry saddle hanging high up above. I imagine they might like gnawing the leather. At least we don't get any now with the new garage door. We still have a lot of MIL's photos, papers etc to go through. OH said to chuck them away, but I will take photos of anything interesting first and keep them that way. You could do the same too. I have school reports in the loft and even my O Level exams Timetable and a thick binder of my O Level biology work and maybe more I have forgotten. There are also a few favourite clothes from the 70s like a black midi coat, a purple fishtail dress and a crushed plum velvet long sleeved dress with a mandarin collar piped in silver with a silver narrow belt. Once we have finished what work wabts doing inside we'll get someone to fetch it all down. OH's large gauge childhood train set is up there too. I wish I wasn't such a wimp, as your granddaughter puts me to shame flying to Hong Kong on her own to work.
I think finding cards for men is so hard. They either have beer or wine glasses, cars or golf clubs on them, none of which are interesting to OH.

It ws the same here Anng. No Stu lives in the house with his garage opposit where they work on the cars. He has a huge place there with fields for his wifes horses and Kate goes there twice a day to see to the horses but hse lives in Torrington. The front door was open when I went round so I went into the house and called out but no answer so thats why I came home. Stu dos'nt always get up early but James does but perhaps he was in the shower. Stu daughter Abby was probably at work as I think she works early or she could have stayed at her boyfriends. She has just passed an exam and is now a qualified accountant at 19 years old.

Just a glitch then Vera. We will have to wait and see if it happens again.
I am sure that the ironing can wait and even the dead heading can wait a few days.
How strange there was nobody at the garage. Is this the new garage Stu's brother?
I went out into the garden and started to cut some more ivy when it started to rain. It lasted, just a very light shower doing no good whatsoever, for about 10 minutes and the sun is shining again now. So frustrating we could really do with a good soaking.

Good morning
It’s fairly warm here but not very bright. I don’t think it will be as hot as yesterday. I found one manly birthday card last night and walked down to the post box with it at about 9 pm. I couldn’t believe how dark it was. It seems only a little while ago that it was still light at 10 pm. I will have to go and buy another card and get it in today’s post. I don’t want to drive into town and pay for parking for one card but we have a tiny Morrisons in one direction and a larger Co-op in the other, both just about in walking distance for me so I’ll try one of those. There won’t be much choice but I should be able to get something.
Finding the garage shut must have been annoying Mel. They don’t seem to be very well organised. I hope you get the car MOT’d today.
My back is not too bad as long as I am very careful but it is so frustrating as there is so much to get on with. OH has done a bit of deadheading for me this morning and I might be able to manage a bit of vacuuming with the light weight stick vac but ironing is going to have to wait a few days.
I don’t know if any of you saw my post that said it was a test post and to ignore it. I only left it up a few minutes. I was experimenting to see if I could work out why I occasionally get these long blanks at the end of my posts. Well, I have constantly tapped the space bar, sat with my finger pressing on it, done the same with the return key and swiped in every possible direction and I cannot reproduce the blank space. So it is still a mystery.
Time for a coffee I think and then I’ll walk to Morrisons. Have a good day folks.

Been to drop the car off for its MOT and theres no signs of life at the garage. I rang from there and still an answer phone on. I even went in the house and called out but nothing so I came home. Its a nuisance as the shopping comes today and I must be here for the driver as I did'nt have a delivery last week with the muck up. I shall have to ring again and leave a vioce mail. Its so unsettling.

Good morning all 17 degrees here and bright cloudy. No sign of any rain here which is no surprise, despite the forecast showing it was going right across us. so still more watering to do. I haven't been outside (not dressed yet), but the patio looks dry.
I can't think what is happening with your Ipad Vera, unless when you are tired you don't notice that you are touching the screen as if deliberately moving down spaces.
