Home now, takes a while with all the road works but beats walking to the bus station.

It was a curettage and cautery (what I call scrape and burn). so no stitches to be removed and a comprehensive leaflet on wound care. Nice female doctor. Two lovely nurses, one senior who stayed with me chatting all the time and assisted the doctor. And when I went in the doctor said they had another doctor who was watching and learning what was being done. and that turned out to be the young female doctor who got this referral. Sheer coincidence. apparently, she is very nice and, even though she had only seen me once, she remembered me.

Mornig All,

Best wishes to AnnG and hopefully it is done now although I can't remember if she said what time her appointment was.

It's much warmer but windy here, but we got our rerrands done and had a cob and coffee at Costa before we did them. I've wiped out the new floor in the porch cupboard and will start sorting what is to go back in there later and hopefully throw some things out. I want to see if I can sell the corded Dyson as I never use it now since having a stick one. There's a small set of plastic drawers that sits under the jackets that is full of all sorts I need to go through as well.

Mel, the only time I remember having trouble with my emails loading was when I had lots of adverts loading after the talktalk data breach. I put free ADblock on then and thave no trouble with emails or adverts now, but I don't even have as many as a thousand emails. I don't really know how these things work with shared networks as we've never done that, but how does it affect things if your OH's PC hasn't been used /switched on for ages, regarding software and antivrus updates and things like that. Does his have windows 11 on it as well or is it still on windows 10? I just googled and found this online. 'Windows 10 will continue to receive monthly security updates until October 2025. After this date, Microsoft will no longer provide bug or security fixes, time zone updates, or technical support'.

To be honest, if I were you I would get rid of all the old stuff including your OH's old PC as anything tech is quickly out of date these days and start afresh, connected direct without going through the old PC and wirelessly if you aren't and can be and get someone to sort out why your PC isn't loading your emails. (providing you deleting most of them hasn't worked.)

If you put the name of your home email provider in the search bar on your mobile phone and press search it will find your email provider and you can log on and find your emails there. It's what we both do. There's no need to use another provider unless you want to. No photo has arrived yet.

Better get on now and do the stirfry for lunch!

Hope all goes well for you tomorrow Anng you know we will all be with you.

Annx My SIL put an email on my phone but I have never used it as she did'nt write down the password and its very different to my home pc's email. Its a gmail and I don't like it.She did everything so quickly I was'nt following what she was saying. I use my tablet as that has my pc email on it and I can access my emails on that.

Mandy I changed my google password today to one oh used to use so I wonder if thats why his address and name was on what I replied to??? I did close his account on his pc years ago but our pc used to run through each other. I wonder if thats why I am having so much trouble? At the moment I can't get on the pc with emails it just says problem loading page all the time. I really need to get someone to put OH's pc in here for me to use and the man in the pc shop in holsworthy said it would be about £90. Problem is I have to clear out his office for the man to get at the pc.

I'm sure it looks lovely Ann.
What a good idea to spend your 'indoor' day doing that.
Do you keep the display the same each year or perhaps vary where you place the figures.?
Will be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping all goes well.

Both the cottages and my little tree are finished I have kept the decs on the tree minimal as that saves time when I come back from daughters and twelfth night will be the next day. So everything will be packed awsy

I don't know why I thought Vera was going out tomorrow ,I hope she's had a nice time .

Ann yes I did manage to get the cushions another beige one for Lacey and a grey one for Chelsea .
The cake smells lovely ,I have just one more Christmas pudding to make now but I couldn't mix it today to cook tomorrow as we're out shopping .
The hearts are worked on the squares as you go along ,it's bobbles you make and they stand out on the square .

It's been a nice sunny day but very cold some of the frost hung about for quite a while we're the sun didn't catch it .

Afternoon All,

Very frosty and cold here this morning and the cars and rooftops were all white, so I pulled the covers back over me and stayed in bed till the heating took the chill off, then showered ready to pop out. There was a long stretch of parked cars outside the Post Office with a huge van trying to reverse out of the row so I waited on my side of the road well back to give him room to do some shunting a few times to face the same way as me and drive forward. I started to follow him when an electric double decker bus that had been waiting behind all the parked carsthe other side of the road facing my direction decided to pull out onto my side of the road and drive towards me even though he could see there was no room to pass and the kerb was high too. I had to reverse up and pull into a driveway opening on my left, but what an idiot! I suspect he was running late and had already waited a while for the lorry to do the shunting, but it's no excuse for overtaking a long row of parked cars when there is a car coming the opposite way. I'd already done a detour on the way because of a 'Road Ahead Closed' sign that just hadn't been removed after work was finished. Anyway I posted the abroad cards, got some stamps, their nice cobs, the paper and a nice Christmas card for OH and called in the Chemist on the way back and picked up OH's meds.

Another pretty blanket finished Mandy and beautifully made again. I love how you have mixed the colours and the way the hearts stand out. Are the hearts crocheted on as you go or afterwards? Did you manage to get the other two cushions you wanted yesterday? I hope the cake turns out well,

Thank you Gwyn, those are good prices and make Christmas dinner cheaper and give us our five a day!

It would be good to put out some decs and your cottages AnnG. It will look cheery then for when you get home tomorrow and keep you busy today. :-) The roads here are really bad a lot of the time now and OH has to allow more and more time to get to his meetings. It's not surprising the roads are getting busier when you read that 1 in 25 of the people living in this country have arrived since 2021.

Can't you access the internet on your phone Mel? If you can you should be able to access your email on there.

I hope Vera is having a nice time looking at the Christmas decs. They are usually quite special at the stately homes.

Hope Vera is having a lovely time at Bleneim

I have the cottages all in place, hardest bit is carrying them all downstairs but I found a bag that I could fit two into, easier to carry that way. Have to put all the figures on it after lunch.

Morning all,

Very frosty here first thing but the suns out so it's gradually burning it away ,not going out today ,fires lit so it's a day of inside jobs ,might do another christmas cake I'll see .
Chelsea's squares are all done so I need to lay them all out on the bed to get some order to the colours .

Mel your having a lot of trouble with your PC hope you can sort it ok ,I meant to say when you emailed me a reply about the blanket it came through with your OH's name not yours .

All your little cottages look so pretty when you have them all out Anng ,it will keep you busy for a while .

Ann you did well to get your car out after getting boxed like that some people have no consideration for other drivers they just pull up hop out and away ,if doesn't even enter their heads to look and see if others could get in after they've parked .

Vera enjoy your day out tomorrow, the weather should be a but milder so you've picked the right day to go .

Right better get the cake mixed and in the oven then I can get on with other jobs .

I could not believe it and wonder if it is so bad every day., this is on a B rooad, no roadworks just normal traffic lights.. I felt sorry for my friend as they had quite a long way to go almost to Tintern Abbey.

Thank you for explaining that to Mel Vera and AnnG. I have sent pictures with a message before, but not with an email. I just tested it out and found I can share to an email as well, so I have learned something today. I normally download photos from my phone to my laptop and then attach to an email to send, but it is handy and quick to be able to attach them from the phone to an email at times.
