That is a very interesting site, very informative, nothing like that 50years ago when I was pregnant and the midwife had a trumpet like instrument to listen to baby's heartbeat. Modern technology certainly is wonderful. |

My almost 22 year old niece was pp... she was born by Ceasarean, as mentioned, but other than that all was fine... she also weighed in at 9lb 7ozs... and is now small and dainty.... |

I was diagnosed with pp during first pregnancy after a scan, but as the pregnancy progressed the placenta was 'taken up' by the growing uterus (not sure if that is the right term) and I went on to have a normal delivery. |

Seeing as she has another 4 1/2 months to go, the placenta could easily "move" away from her cervix. I'm sure they will be giving her an ultrasound at every visit to check. |

I would agree that the placenta can move from the diagnosed position as the pregnancy progresses, so that a normal delivery could be possible, as October is quite a way off still. |

May tell your neighbour to imagine her placenta is a dot drawn on a ballooon,as you inflate the ballooon the dot moves and so most likely will her placenta. |
