I seem to recall Prince Edward's wife Sophie did something similar and she was still welcomed into the Royal family. I personally think that the royals should have made better provision for Fergie in the first place and then she would not have had to go around touting herself and trying to earn enough money to pay for the lifestyle to which she had become accustomed. She is after all still the mother of 2 of the Queen's Grandchildren and she should have been shown more respect and compassion. If they had given her a home and an annual income and a contract to keep her in line, they may not have had these problems now. I think the Royals have brought a lot of this upon themselves. Besides isn't Prince Phillip renowned for opening his big mouth and embarrassing the Royals. The word hypocrite comes to mind. |
