My son who is in year 8 at school has made a new friend. This young boy is so remarkable. You see this young boy has suffered a stroke. I had never heard of children suffering a stroke but apparently 3 children have one every day.

Please take a moment to read his story

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/features/the-paramedics-told-me-my-son-wasnt-old-enough-to-have-a-stroke-1948711.html

All his mum wants to do is to get this recognised that strokes can also effect children.

Thanks for your time and please do read the above link.

Thank you

Cooper

Hi Marcelle,

I have heard of a child having a stroke before but thought it was a very rare thing.

3 children a day is an awful lot.We need more awareness of this in the media and know the signs to look out for.
I will look at the link and thanks for bringing our attention to it.

As a parent it is vital to be aware of such things.

Thanks for reading Teresa. Kray's mum is working hard on this and her words to me were that if she could help even 3 families a year that would be great. She just wants to make people aware that it can happen and the signs to look out for. She is now hoping to get charity status. It certainly opened my eyes as I obviously have to know what to look for when Kray is at my house.

Once again thanks for reading
